The Number One State in Which to Retire

For some reason, there’s an upsurge in baby boomer retirements in one particular part of the United States: the Sun Belt. To better inform you of what that means is the southern part of the country spanning from the bottom half of California all the way down to the edge of Florida. The reason why is this:

It’s sunny down there! Vacation spots are definitely the way to go. Moreover, though, is the number one state within the Sun Belt: Florida. Statistics show that the state in particular represents the majority of luxurious homes for retirement.

Of the top 100, Florida held 26 spots as opposed to some other top contenders like North Carolina with 11 spots, and South Carolina and Arizona with respective seven spots each. The rest of the top 100 were held by other states outside the Sun Belt, and even two areas outside of the United States.

More on Florida, though–to give you an idea of the towns you’d want to look for when you retire, here’s what you’ve got to choose from–

The best in Florida at the number two spot is Sarasota followed by Ft. Myers. If you love Florida as many of American citizens do, you can stay in the top 100 by heading toward either Venice or Naples. For a taste of the beach, find the last home of your life in Vera Beach or Delray Beach. Gainesville, St. Augustine, Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale, and Winter Park are just several others on the list for you to check. Take your time!

But not too much time…. After all, you’re looking for a home in which to retire in. With some of this information, though, that shouldn’t be too hard. If you’re retiring happily, nothing should be hard. Check out some of these great towns in Florida and make the rest of your life a breeze.
